what a $hitty night!

rushed home from work and started polishing the block on the ole 766. got her all clean and started fitting the new sleeves. everthing checked out good. popped the rods off the old pistons, checked everything over, mounted up new pistons. started putting rings on. get the first five done, open up ring package for number six.......BROKEN RING!!!!!!!!! no new parts till wed. so here i sit in front of the computer ranting. was planning on it running by sunday so i could cut my way over due hay. now i gotta go rent a tractor cause the hay can't wait any longer. i bought a disc mower this spring to replace my sickle. the disc mower only fits the 766 and i sold the sickle. life goes on..... casey in SD
