gas tank liner

i had the gas tank off of my super m and cleaned it out.i bought some gas tank liner called Red Kote out of a Valu Built tractor parts magazine.it said to let it dry for 24 hours.i let it dry for probably 35 hours.i put eveything back on and its running fine but the gas is red colored. should it be like that since the tank liner was red? or will it just be like that for this first little bit of gas ran through it?
