The power assist is thru the tractors hydraulic system.That fluid that was added is for the gear box part of the box...not the assist side.You probably have a welsh plug pushed out the bottom of the box itself.If the power assist doesnt work,either the valving in the pressure regulator block is messed up or the hydraulic assist unit that bolts into the box is worn out.
