Hi, many years ago had the cover off a 434 which is just an older model of 444. The only problem I remember was the hydraulic return line was in the way. Had to put front of tractor on upward slop so all the hydraulic oil would not run out, then disconnect return line at the coupling. If you put tractor on a slope be sure to BLOCK the wheels so it will not run away when you are aligning the gears in the transmission. JB2
