I find TA to be very helpful when using a loader.I use the TA on my 300U when I am steering around into a snowbank,I then use the regular gear for transport, then use TA again to manuever for another bite. This is far easier than using the clutch and shifting to 1st every time you need to slow down.At first I was somewhat apprehensive to buying a tractor that had TA...I feared the worst...but if it works, use it to your advantage. If it doesnt, fixing it will have its benefits for years to come. Its yet another thing that Ford N series tractors didnt have...and yet another reason that IH tractors are better machines overall.
