Problems in the box. Verticle steer shaft is keyed to the steering gear, key is boken or keyway is wrecked. Verticle shaft moving up and down, worn upper bearing or missing snapring on top of it. Steer shaft moving in and out, bad bearing on end of shaft. Worn keyway on steering arm possible. Get the box and components disassembled and repair everything in your path.
