If its a Ute,the pressure regulator is on the side of the reservior,right side,under the Hydra Touch valve for the Fast Hitch (if you have).Your distributor leak is probably just wear in the seals/shaft of the pump and not necessarily just too high of pressure.The I&T manuals show a test fixture for pressure cutoff,but its a rather complicated piece that you cant buy anymore....but probably could make up with pressure gauge,hydraulic hose and adapter fittings.
