I use a master disconnect on my 300U.I have the battery in a marine battery box,and the disconnect is the type that bolts right to the battery post and has the hand screw wheel that you turn down to make connection and loosen to break the connection.I also have the rubber terminal covers just in case something comes loose in the box.I feared a battery failure/explosion with that thing right between one's legs like it is,and I sure wasnt taking any chances.
