1. The line on the big nut (plunger input) comes from the output of the primary (last) filter. 2. That is the drain. B pumps don"t scavenge waste fuel from the inside of the pump case back to the tank because (supposedly) the inside tolerances were tighter and it didn"t need it. Mine goes to a 6" length of copper tube and down out of the frame. It does drip a drop of fuel occasionally. Any more questions, my e-mail is open...... Brian
