The Super A is a great little tractor and will make a nice mowing machine with the mid mount mower. About a 6ft bar as is big as I would want on that machine. As far as pulling a spreader, it would have to be a smaller unit, since the tractor only weighs about 2300 lbs, and you only have about 18hp. You will want to check the side of the block behind the carb for any patches, the block often cracked there without antifreeze. How does it run, any unusual noise from the transmission, if you can get someone to do a compression test on all cylinders. How does the tractor look, was it abused? etc. Others may be able to offer more help! scotty
