Tyler, You don"t indicate what year your H is, but it is entirely possible that it came new with an oil pressure gauge and an amp gauge if it came with lights, and had no water gauge. I"ve seen many H"s and M"s of both pre, and post WWII vintage that came sans water temp gauge. The right side hole in the hood where the water gauge would have been had a sheet metal cover. As far as being able to start your tractor, an oil pressure gauge is preferable, to know whether you are indeed getting proper pressure, plus without gauges, you need to plug all the sending sensor ports before running the engine.
