Do you have the bracket clamp down too tight? I have the exact setup on several of my Farmalls and you do as previous posts say. pull out and shove the male end in and go. Unless the new female ends have bigger ribs on them not allowing them to come back through the support bracket. Dunno what else could be holding you back.
