Usually if there is a port on both ends of the cylinder they can be made to be double acting. However, is that plug a vented plug? In order for the cylinder to work one-way, the other end would need to be vented. I have true single acting rams on an old trip bucket loader and the cyl. rods themselves are fairly large in diameter, maybe 3/4 the size of the body of the cylinder. It has no piston, the hyd pressure pushes the rod itself out. Those can't be made double acting. So if your rods are smaller and there is a vented plug on the "other" end, they are double acting cylinders. Paul
