John A. has good advice--I would follow it. Now for my 2 bits: I've got a fifteen acre, very hiily place, and for the last three years have had to deal with the aftermath of two logging operations, a wind storm and a very nasty ice storm. My little Kubota lacked terribly in the butt department when it came to skidding log, trees, limbs and brush. As Dad would say "it didn't have enough in its pants." I brought the family's 460 narrow front over here for more muscle. To tell you the truth, I was quite surprised at how confidence-inspiring it was on the hill sides despite its tall stance. It is weighted fairly well, so combined with the bite and sure-footedness the 38" rear rubber gives you, it didn't slip and slide around like the little Kubota did (and does!) You will be OK especially with the wide front set up. Just use common sense.
