I just purchased a nice looking Farmall Cub last weekend and am trying to get it running right. It starts and runs, buts the engine cuts out for few seconds, then will run smoothly again and then cut out again. It will go back and forth like this constantly. Sometimes it will sit and run for a minute or two and then start cutting out again. Any ideas? It is a 1948 with Magneto ignition. I pulled off the fuel line and it has a nice full stream of fuel. I cleaned and rebuilt the carb with no help. I even replaced the carburator with one off another newer cub I have and it still does the same thing. Could it be the coil or some other ignition problem?
