It's not a gasket material- its more like a thick paint. It's kind of greyish white. IH used mainly on the inside of castings, but if there were a lot of leaks, they slobbered it on the outside of the blocks. I've seen entire blocks coated with the stuff. It was always painted over, but some folks have seen this stuff and concluded that their tractors were white.
