Thanks to all for the feedback. Kevin, my plugs are autolite 386, and they (like the champions) use a 7/8" socket. I'm not sure what the difference in the other part numbers are? Can you point me to a chart that lists the differences in the autolite plugs as far as heat range? What tractors do you use them on? The motor in question is a C/Super C era C-123. I tried one of the plugs in an extra x30/x40 series head this morning and found that my sockets work fine in the newer heads, so apparently it's just an issue in the older ones. Thanks, Stan(VA).
