On my Super C, it had a rubber seal around the pulley housing that fit inside the tractor housing. This looked like a large diameter o ring, but very small diameter. IH did not have this oring, and I tried using a standard oring of about 1/8, but was too think. It sheared it on installation. If this is the problem you are encountering, you will need to buy an oring kit, and make up the right size oring for it.
