m rebuild ?

have an m that has not run in years. it was not stuck but had low compression. since the head was off for a valve job i dropped the pan and pulled a piston. the rings were gunked up and stuck in the lands. the sleeves have a minor ridge, i would say less than .005" can barely feel it with a fingernail. idealy the plan is to clean the lands and get new rings. hone the sleeves untill ridge is gone and have nice surface to break the new rings in. i would also like to get oversize rings and file fit them to compensate for the minimal wear on the sleeve. does this sound like it would work or are new sleeves essential? also where could i get oversized rings?
