I have replaced the pin a couple of times. You do not need to remove the steering wheel to do this job!!!!! Once throttle shaft itself broke right at the top threads. I pulled the shaft out of the bottom and brazed the threaded part back on. Filed it round and reinstalled. So I know the shaft comes out from the bottom without removing the steering wheel or the casting under the steering wheel. This is much easier.
