farmall decals

My husband and I are restoring several farmall H's, M's, W-6 and a Super C. There is some confusion as to the correct decals on what year models. Several are missing their decals, our original 1939 H's had been painted over and replaced with the newer IH style not the McCormick-Deering that we discovered underneath. We have seen pictures that have different styles on the 1940's-1949. When did they change from McCormick-Deering to IH McCormick?
