Yes, if you use a seal puller (I got one from a Sears Hardware store) they will come out. Not easily, but after a lot of effort they do come out. I replaced the seals on my "H", and so far so good. The only suggestion I would make is to make sure you get the seal in past the chamfer on the cover (when you get the old seal out it will be obvious). Be sure to clean up the brake drum and bands and you're back in business!
