woflman: The IH operators manuals on 00, 50 and 60 series tractors gave very good description for clutch and TA settings. Good diagram. Actually that short linkage does nothing more than exactly what you folks are doing by pulling back TA lever. I found as these tractors got older, sometime you had to take an extra half turn shortening that short linkage to make it release right.
