Sometime back someone (think it was Farmer Bob but ain't sure) described a method of removing the pan, jacking up tractor,placing block of wood under portion of crank , letting tractor rest on it and let time do the work. An impact wrench should free that plug for you but you may have to repair the threads after it comes out but this is no big problem. Good luck with your project.
