300u steering systems are not robust. and parts are high if to be found. There probably is potential for installing a stock PS unit, but it will be apremium price, or be used junk. If looks are important this is probably the only solution. Check this site archives for discussions related. If looks are not an issue, a linkage system with a effort sensor in a ball joint could be adapted from a medium truck. junk yard the potential unit for size and attachment points, and operating pressures etc.
