I don't know if it is an hour meter, or a revolution counter. It is geared to the end of the mag drive, so it only sees the revolutions of the mag/dist. I don't think it is actually an hour meter since it has no time base, just revolutions. Its mounting base is cast into then the end of the front cover, so the cover was made to have it. The mechanism needs work since it is froze up, but it is complete. Just needs a little TLC. I just thought it would look neat/odd on the M I am building. Something else for collectors to scratch their heads over.
