the delco cs series is slightly smaller than a 10si, and is just as simple to hook up...think 90s+ GM applications. down side is the early enclosed series (cs120?) have overheating failure problems, and the newer open ones (cs130)would probably let too much chaff and what ever inside. to wire one you use the hot lead to the battery, then wire a warning lamp to the L terminal...if my memory serves right. sensing is internal to the alternator already.
