used a standard GM on several H's. added a idler pulley so that the alt could be pushed in as far as possible and belt adjusted correctly. simply put a pulley (bought an idler pulley fro a lawnmower deck) on a arm and fastened the arm under the alt. hood does not touch and belt always stays tight.
