Industry standard is pull back to raise, if your valve has a “float” position where the lever stays in you will want to plumb it so that the “lower” position is on the same side of the neutral position as the float position, so you don’t lower and then have to go through the raise position to float. Otherwise you could hook it up the other way if your preference is have it that way. The pump and cylinders won’t care…
