Which hydraulic port are you hooked to? If the valve is set to single acting and using ports on
right or left of tractor the line to cylinder is suposed to connect to port to rear.If you happen to have the larger gas tank the outlet lines on
sides will be vertical.I think you hook to top outlet for single.Since you have fast hitch im guessing the cylinder line is not being used on the rear outlet lines bolted to battery box.Also guessing you have a 3 valve set up in giving this info.
