David, I know what you mean, sometimes I wonder if the guys that tie up all that money in big machinery are any further ahead than the guy who works with smaller but affordable equipment and yes, what would you use in fuel pulling a 32 row planter...You wouldn't make as many rounds but you will still use more fuel. I remember a neighbour getting a new cultivator and saying he could do 22 acres an hour, he still couldn't plant that fast. I do understand though that running 5000 acres demands that sort of equipment as opposed to running 500 or 600 acres. My money is on guys like you for the long run...Mike in Exeter Ontario
