There is a seal on the pump shaft that is probably shot causing the fuel to dump into the oil pan. If I am not mistaken, I believe that model has a Bosch pump. I removed my pump about two years ago off my 684 which should be similar. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I think you have to take a plate off the backside of the housing where the pump bolts into. I remember a nut that had to removed from that side in order to remove the pump. Also I remember a small plate on the pump that you remove and there is a couple of lines that you have to line up after finding #1 cylinder TDC.
At any rate, this is a job that I definitely would not attempt without having an I & T or similar shop manual. If you have very little diesel experience you may be better off just taking the tractor your local tractor repair shop.
