Yes, they are worth more but not what they want for them. Anywhere from 300 to 500 because they are so hard to find, soo they think they are gold!! The pullers use the trans. top because its a few lbs. lighter due to the slot in the casting. As far as being worth more, dunno, but it looks like about 6800 were made according to guy fays book. Some of those seats were also put on the 1940 Ms.. Hope this helps
