IH 1086

I'm new to this board(hope the John Deere guys don't read this!). I'm thinking about buying a 1086 for field work.Is there anything that I should be looking at when I go and look at these tractors. I will probably be buying one at an auction or from a dealer.How many hours before
you normally have clutch and TA trouble? How many hours normally before engine rebuild? Are they known for rear end problems? Do they start good in the cold( I live in Canada)?Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance,Paul.
