You didn't say if that Bush Hog is an offset disk or not. If its just a standard tandem disk then 8 foot is too small for a 656. It should easily handle a 10-12 foot disc under any conditions. If its a heavy duty offset disk with big 24" cone blades, then 8 foot would be a full load and then some in clay soil.
