So I still have the same problem... this is what I have done. Replaced all the old wiring on the ignition system, soaked and cleaned the carg, but it was actually very clean inside. cut a new gasket for it and while there put on a new fuel line. Then there was no gas getting into the line. I think (actually it was my wife that said so) I have crud in the bottom of the tank. I gave the sediment bowl housing a few turns with the intention of taking the whole thing off, then it started draining into the glass bowl, so i left it. Fuel now into the carb and it starts up well and runs for a minute then dies, will sediment in the tank starve the engine like that. if so how do I get it out without taking off the tank. do I remove the sediment bowl housing and flush it out that way. Thanks- we're getting there. Tom
