Nathan: Having bought a 560D new in 1963, then turning it up to 90 hp for 17 years, I would advise against this. 560 at 62 hp is going to lug that 4 bottom plow just about anywhere in 2nd gear and a lot of the time in 3rd. You will increase your repairs both on tractor and plow by stepping up the hp. Leave it right where it is, and it will give you many years of faithful service. Remember this, my 560 went to the scrapyard at 17 years of age with 11,000 hours on meter. In 2005 you are dealing with 40+ year old iron. Save your money for a 656, 756 or even an 856, believe me you will be happy with the decission. 560 was the only tractor I ever tampered with on hp. Other tractors I farmed with included SA, 130, 300, 656 and 1066, and I know they are all still going and a couple of them now over 20,000 hours. Engineers did have it right when it comes to long service. Pullers will tell of all the hp they get, but how many hours do they run.

I said that I would be interested, and was wondering what his next step was. (Although I was talking under my breath, since I thought of this some years ago) My friend, Arlyn Lamb of Lakeville, Minnesota was sincere in his miss
