even thou you were in moving at the time it sure does after the symptoms you describe that it actually got caught in two gears. i would just check to see if in neutral to pull the shifter and see if the shifter forks are not right. the only reason i say this you say it does it in nuetral and it sound to me its stuck in gears. tim
