That speed is calculated based on engine RPM and stock tire size. If you are running higher RPM or larger tires (I have 15.5 38’s on mine) that will drastically effect speed. My M at factory RMP will run right at 18 MPH down the road just because of the tire size.

If you really want to roll, pull that M engine down, get the crank, rods, flywheel, and pistons balanced and crank and you might be able to safely crank even more RPM out of her. Then get some wide rims and put on 18.4 38’s and hang on!!! :>)
