Need info on IH340 utility

I am debating the purchase of a IH340 utility built in 1963 (based on serial#). First, does anybody know what the HP Rating is? The owner doesn't know and the dealer thinks it's about 40hp. Second, near the steering wheel is a knob which appears to transfer hydraulics to an auxillary location. How does it work, what does it do, how do I use it? It currently has a functioning loader, power steering and a live PTO. Any help is greatly appreciated. This tractor has been restored approximately 95 percent. Is there anything I should specifically inspect? Any help is greatly appreciated.
