Rusty precleaner jar

I just got an M precleaner in pretty good cond,
thanks Ebay. The glass jar has surface rust!
I tried washing it in the sink, no good, put it in
the dish wahser, nope still the brown stain! I
tried soft scrub and also tried soaking it in
vinegar. All no help.

Any Ideas on how to get this rusty looking but
nice square pint jar clean?

Also, anyone know how much the precleaner
option cost back in 44?
