I think you will find that is a factory axle from IH but is the "Kimco" version. It was only on early 584 and 784 tractors and was replaced by the ZF front axle on later models.
Parts are listed in the 784 "European" parts catalogue and are available at CaseIH dealers. Tractors with this axle were sold in Canada But I'm not sure if any were sold in the USA. Parts are getting hard to find and tend to be very expensive.
