Well I guess maybe it could be but............it has been doing fine up until I pulled the pan.I usually put the sealer on the pan,put on my gasket,put the sealer top of the gasket and bolt it right up.this way the sealer can work into any little creviss that might be there.The let it sit for a couple of hours beforeI run it.I do that on any gasket.I have never had problems with any gasket other than this one,and the dang tranny cover gaskets!No matter how hard I try I mess up something on those so I have gone to just using the heck out of selaer on the tops and forget the gasket!
