i have a '76 766 and i love it!!!!! it's the perfect "little" big tractor. exactly the same as a 966/1066 just a smaller engine. it's not over powered to tear up my equipment but it's not pushed around by loads that would make my 706 beg for mercy. i've only had mine since fall and so far it has been very easy on fuel, but i'm comparing it to a gas 706 so just about anything is better. it starts on it's own down to about 20 degrees, below that i just plug it in for about an hour before use. i would say get it, should be perfect for what you want to do!
