They"re not too bad on fuel. A little worse than the German IH engines, but worth it for the torque they produce. Belive it or not, they also built a 766 gas- 6 gallons per hour easy. Your dealer can get all of the common wear parts, and many parts interchange with the 9, 10, and 1466, which are three of the most common IH"s, so salvage yard parts will not be a problem.
