They're out. Borrowed the IH puck from local dealer. It was marked "H-3 3/8" on the side. Fabricated my own rod from grade 8 continuous and a 1 1/4 cold rolled bar for the top. Wheel lug nut to turn it down. Several oak spacers cut lengthwise on band saw. Everything in place, 3/4 inch breaker bar and socket and I was prepared to grunt and groan. But to my surprise, after about 540 degrees of moderate torque, they just popped loose and I spun them up with a 12 inch crescent. Wondering now if they came out "too easy" Guess I will see what shape block bore is in when I start inspalling new sleeves. I can't find a spec sheet on the exact diameter of the bore shoud be. An H , engine cast in 49.
