Paul, It looks like somebody might have stressed or abused the tubular brace across the front of the tractor/radiator. Just to pull your leg a little, is the buggy top used in the winter to keep snow off the seat or sun off the operator? :>) That loader stretches a lot higher than I would want to raise it unless I was on level ground and not tooooo heavy of a load.
