Dave, I"m not sure I know what you are saying. The shutter rod assembly begins with the flat side of the front rod connected to the shutter clevis on the bell crank. the front rod"s bow is outward with the ends toward the tractor. The end closest to the operator ends at the fuel tank support bracket and does not extend to the throttle area. That is the extent of the shutter assembly. If you have the distillate or kerosene exhaust manifold with the damper, there is an additional control lever and linkage that mounts under the fuel tank, but unless you have this manifold, the control lever and linkage is irrelevant.
