Not El Toro but it still sounds like you have either the timing off or the plug wires switched. Why did you set the valves at .014 that seems a little tight. If you still have the valve cover off #1 plug compression stroke would be both valves closed with timing pointer at notch. Then starting at #1 on cap clock wise direction 1342 they go in order from front of motor to back 1234 let us know also is the rotor turning ok at all times? JON
