Dear all, in a recent post I said that the Diesel models were added to the Letter Series range in 1941. I was only half right!
I have since found elsewhere on the Internet that the WD-6 was tested at Nebraska in September 1940 (Test 356)
The Farmall MD was tested in May 1941 (Test 368) and the WD-9 was tested there also in May 1941 (Test 370)
The TD-6 crawler tractor was tested in 1940 as was the TD-9. These tractors share the same engines as their "WD" equivalents.
I should have said "Diesel models added in 1940/41"
